Who is this kid?

I am not sure how I feel about Ben Kweller yet. He makes me feel a bit fuzzy inside. But sometimes I'm reminded of old Wilco and that's fun or somebody that influenced Ben Folds but not Ben Folds. Also, I read a little interview with him in Spin and he liked all my favorite rock 'n' roll classic bands. That's a good start, right? However, I'm a bit taken aback by the fact that Dave Matthews signed him to his label--I can stomach about two Dave Matthews' songs. Oh, poops. Am I getting soft in my old age?
